Sustainable Education Nepal is a team under the umbrella organization, Cornell University Sustainable Design, which aims to improve the architectural design of the primary schools system in Nepal to create spaces that are more sustainable and more conducive (and comfortable) for fostering education. To accomplish our goals, we make sure to closely examine the local community, culture, and resources, to fulfill the needs of local students, while also providing equitable spaces. This project team works with United World Schools to make these designs become reality. As the co-lead architectural design sub team, I ensured that the design was fulfilling all the needs of the potential students and faculty, while still respecting the site and the local environment.
